At the graduation reception for the Department of Film, Television and Theatre, my thesis advisor and dean of the fine arts, Dr. Jim Collins, honored me with the Joseph P. O’Toole award for Film Studies. The FTT faculty present this award to the graduating senior for outstanding work in critical studies.
