This year, NBCUniversal decided to hold the Winter Olympic Hospitality Program in Jackson Hole, WY. I was hired by Corporate Events to fill a temporary role as Guest Communications Coordinator, overseeing all communications with VIP guests, talent and staff. From the moment a client was identified as an invitee, I prepared the personalized invitation, sent the documents, managed the RSVP list, troubleshooted registration, booked travel and generally put out any fires that arose. We had two waves of more than 200 people each, all flown to beautiful Jackson Hole, WY, for four days of winter activities, great food and insightful discussion about NBCUniversal’s plans and strategies to constantly improve its Olympics coverage. Many guests flew on our private charter, booked in concert with United Airlines. I oversaw all airport check ins for both waves, then traveled with the Wave 2 guests to see the program come to life!
