‘Ordinary Days’

(April 2015 – September 2015)

Poster campaign

I worked with a graphic designer to develop the logo for Ordinary Days over the summer and first weeks of the 2015 – 2016 school year. Back at school, I organized two photo shoots for the first weekend before classes: one at a vacant apartment and one at the Snite Museum of Art, picked to represent the Met. I compiled the best images, edited them in Photoshop to remove labels in the museum and increase or decrease shadows to create a feeling of memory through the vignette. I also added the logo and text to the three photo-based posters. Two hundred copies in total were hung across campus, and I released them one by one on PEMCo’s social media platforms.

publicity photos

I encouraged the cast to use the posters as well as these promotional photos as their cover photos and profile pictures on social media outlets. These photos came from our final two dress rehearsals.

audience services

For Ordinary Days, I coordinated group ticket sales and managed outreach to special interest groups placing ticket orders in bulk. I also supervised the hiring of ushers and ticketspeople for front-of-house operations.

Program

Working from a basis of previous PEMCo programs, I designed the Ordinary Days program after ensuring all actors had headshots and extending offers for ad sales to various campus groups, several of which paid for promotional consideration that then offset the cost of the program. Due to high demand, we printed a second run of programs, totaling more than 400 copies in total. Click the image below to view a PDF of the program.
